Space Between Two Worlds

I had just been listening to the latest remix/remaster of John Lennon’s Plastic Ono Band CD. I was thinking about the song “Remember” and the way it moves, bounces, grooves. My fingers fell on some new chords and a melody. The words “life’s a mystery” spilled out of my mouth. Ruby said, “we must have a better title than that” and wrote a whole set of lyrics. A new song is born.

Space Between Two Worlds

In the space between two worlds
Shoreline meets the sea
Where the meadow meets the woods
Honey meets the bee
We could travel there most any time
Life’s a mystery that way
‘Tween the Sun and Moon the stars still shine
And on and on and on and on we’ll play…
In the space between two worlds
Where the clouds meet sun
‘Tween the cradle and the tomb
Getting close to One
We could end up there most any time
Life’s a mystery that way
‘Tween the Earth and Mars the stars still shine
And on and on and on and on we’ll play…
Age meets Youth; Dark meets Light
Lies meet Truth; Dove meets Flight
Hate meets Love; Flower meets Tree
‘Tween two worlds; You and Me
We could travel there most any time
Life’s a mystery that way
‘Tween the Sun and Moon the stars still shine
And on and on and on and on we’ll play…
We could end up there most any time
Life’s a mystery that way
‘Tween the Earth and Mars the stars still shine
And on and on and on and on we’ll play…
On and on and on and on we’ll stay…Between…Two…Worlds
Between…Two…Worlds
