The Last Good Day

This is something I think about now and then. Could this be the last good day? You can think about that when you're 20 or 80! You never know. So we should all try to enjoy every day like it's the last one. That is hard to do. Because we all get so wrapped up in day to day living. Appointments, bills, politics, etc. But take a moment to (as Ringo once said) stop and smell the roses.

The Last Good Day

How did you and me get shot into the future so quickly
Never giving any thought about the price we would pay
Any day the sun is shining through the clouds so freely
Could be the last good day
Music swirls around the room and we are happily listening
(Could be the last good, could be the last good day)
There’s a smile on every face that i am happy to see
(Could be the last good, could be the last good...)
And the one thing that we thought that we would never see ending
Would be the last good day
Living in the past
Gets you nothing but a lonely heart
Living way too fast
Brings you right back to the very start
You never thought that you would get this far
You couldn’t know that this was gonna be the last good day
Always climbing, always trying to get onto the hilltop
(Could be the last good, could be the last good day)
Putting off the things we should’ve done along the way
(Could be the last good, could be the last good...)
I just hope we’ll be together always playing and singing
Until the last good day
